Rights Groups

Rights groups bundle together specific groups of rights that are associated with a particular function that a user is assigned in SmartSolve. Rights can only be assigned to users through rights groups. It is recommended that you create your own rights groups for each SmartSolve application by copying the default rights groups that are provided with installation into your specific rights groups.

It is recommended that you align your rights group names to the names of your system roles, such as Document Owner and Document Approver. This makes it easier for the administrator to assign roles and rights groups to new users
When creating your rights groups, it’s important to start with the group with the most rights, such as Document Management Administrator. Test the rights group with a user. Then, create the rest of your groups by copying the first test group and deleting the rights not needed for the new group.
For better grouping of rights groups, it is recommended that you add the SmartSolve solution acronym to the beginning of the right group name, such as DM for Document Management.

User Rights

The following rights must be assigned to a user for that user to manage or view rights groups:

Rights	Description
RGP_MANAGE	Allows the administrator to add new objects, modify existing objects, or delete objects.
RHT_VIEW	Allows the user to access and view objects.
